Its been a very long time since I’ve posted anything new here. Writing about stuff isn’t to difficult a challenge, finding time to write about stuff and actually following through is another matter entirely. To try and help me on this, I’ve decided to try and broaden the stuff I write about, mainly focusing on my own experiences. This will including most of the stuff I do such as web development and working with SharePoint, to amateur and hobbyist activities such as photography, drones and even soccer/football. I’ll start today with the photography side of things.
A few months ago I was looking into activities that I could invest more time into, something that wasn’t closely related to software or web development. I basically narrowed it down to photography and drones (both of which aren’t inexpensive). Since I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to some truly wonderful locations over the past few years, I figured photography would be the obvious choice, though both could be combined. I got hold of a Sony a6300 camera and learned how to use it on the road. Having previously done all my photography (if I can even call it that) on my mobile phone, I found that moving to a dedicated device for photography seems to have enabled me to do things I never thought I’d be able to do with a camera. I’ve included some of the pictures I’ve been lucky enough to take below.
